I was to be able to connect to our Mitel phone network with a spare phone remotely via a VPN. I can get a teleworker solution product from Mitel but it is very expensive for just one phone. There is another way to get similar results using VPN but I am not sure how to manually configure the phone to connect to the Mitel ICP and work as a normal DHCP POE phone. Our setup is as follows: 1 x Mitel 3300cx ICP 10+ x Mitel 5212 IP Phones 1 x HP Pro Curve with POE and VLAN config 1 x Windows SBS 2003 server. As I understand what happens when a phone is plugged into the HP Pro Curve is it request a DHCP address, the server has DHCP settings to not assign the phones an IP address but send to off to the Pro Curve.
